Guitar Hero Metallica looks promising

Alan Flores, lead designer of Guitar Hero Metallica recently posted a blog post on the official PlayStation blog and shared some cool facts about the upcoming Guitar Hero Metallica, which will be out sometime in Spring (March to June) 2009.

It seems that this upcoming installment of Guitar Hero could be the best out of the series yet. Guitar Hero Metallica will include:
  • Awesome Metallica songs (of course).
  • Amazing opening acts which include Slayer.
  • Great character models and venues.
  • Lifelike animations.
  • Metallica-themed Pushead User Interface.
  • Rare live footage of the band.
  • A high chance that it might support a second bass drum pedal to play double bass tracks, which would give fans that authentic Metallica experience.
  • The developers worked with the band's fan club, who are obviously hard-core Metallica fanatics, to obtain old photos and live footage. The fan club also helped them pack the game with a lot of bonus content.
  • A new feature called 'Metallifacts' will be introduced. Metallifacts will be like a DVD documentary, where you'll get more information about the song that's playing, which would help educate people about the history of the songs.
