Metal Gear Solid creator to receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Famed Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Game Developers Choice Awards on March 25th 2009.

The inspiring game developer will also be delivering a keynote speech to address game design at the Game Developers Conference, which attracts the game industries' prominent figures from all around the world.


Kojima has been in the game industry for 23 years, after starting at Konami in 1986 where he helped to create the Metal Gear series for the MSX system. Since then, he has overseen the development of every game in the popular series, and has even created other notable titles such as Zone of the Enders and Boktai: The Sun in Your Hand.
