Killzone 2 Demo Impressions

Let's make something clear before we start anything : this is a demo, a very short 1.2GB worth of demo. And everything being said here doesn't necessarily mean that it will come out in the full game. With that, let's see what Bruneians have to say about the Killzone 2 Demo that just got released on the PS Store.

Mr Syaf: I have to say that what reviewers have said about the graphics is spot on. Killzone 2 is the best looking FPS out there on consoles. I was a bit disappointed I didn't get to see the weather effect though. I have to say this, the first run through of the demo, I didn't spend that much looking at the surroundings. It wasn't until I replayed the demo again that I got to see the details being put on the game. There's nothing here that other reviewers out there haven't covered but I have to say, from animations to textures, this game is just insanely beautiful.

The demo opens up in the capital city of Helghan, Pyrrhus. Here, you rendezvous with your team mates, protect a battle area and infiltrating their base. Every moment of that was not short of awesome. Every step you take feels real. You feel the weight of the gun. You feel vulnerable you reloading your weapon. You feel how much the Helghasts hate your guts.

My favourite part? Destroying a bridge full of Helghasts with an RPG... or was it punching the living hell out of an unsuspecting Helghast from behind?

KeiKun: After trying the Killzone 2 Demo, I would say it has potential and the graphics look awesome. Even at 1080p, it's still smooth. Although the demo is kind of short to play, it did bring us the taste of Killzone 2 campaign.

You know what surprised me? Moving the loading screen with the SIXAXIS.

Demo it!
Killzone 2 Demo is now available on the Europe PS Store and in the US PS Store for Qore annual subscriber. Vote the game over at BruGamers.com soon!
